We can totally ignore the first 7 months of the Trump Presidency, and yet still we’re gut punched by white nationalists marching – and murdering – in Charlottesville, coupled with Trying Trump struggling to prove his is a larger penis than Kim Jong Un’s by shoving his compensating-for-something, hyperbolic-word-salad-speech to the limit of normal comprehension and reason.
And that’s not the bad part!
The bad part is that fully 100% of the reactions to such balderdash from the “leaders” of the world were offered, reported, and re-whatevered on Twitter.
We are better than this.
What IS Twitter, anyway?
Twitter is software… Twitter is basic software. Twitter is an IF / THEN statement without the capacity of an ELSE clause. Twitter is a web app that a 9-year from Muncie, Indiana could create while working in the mail room… during lunch break… using a Commodore 64 with a broken F key…
…Twitter is something so basic that DONALD TRUMP knows how to use it!
And yet, Twitter’s over-simplification is driving foreign and domestic policy in America. Twitter drives personal relationship insecurities, celebrity-worship, the demonization of education – and last time I checked, social media is the root facilitator and behavioral-cause of everything from parents bullying the bullies of their children, to morally-corrupt girlfriends encouraging their boyfriends to commit suicide!

Social media is responsible for the propagation of fake news, the increase of human isolation, and the exacerbation of extreme political and social views.
The desire for social media celebrity has caused People to return to Animal and stream murders, abuses, and torture – all while smiling in a selfie-pose.
Social media facilitates death, distrust, and moral desolation in exchange for temporal notoriety. Social media created President Donald J. Trump… need we say more?
At what point does the bad of social media outweigh the good?
Human beings are not mental-motionally evolved enough to navigate the siren-laden waters of social media. We need to steer away. The clusterf*ck in which we exist certainly didn’t happen because people took the time to read a book.
POLITUSIC’s wish for 2017 is that citizens of Earth will decide that the good of social media does not outweigh the bad, and therefore it’s time to put it out of business. We want y’all to stop. Seriously. Go outside, reserve a table at the pub, and start talking to one another. Read. Discuss… the brave might even debate and learn.
If Twitter were a person, POLITUSIC would beg of It this: for the good of Humanity’s evolution: shut down your servers. Cash in your stocks and stop facilitating the destruction of rational thought by means of obliterating shared reality!
To Twitter shareholders who pine for third homes in the Hamptons: you will still be millionaires if you stop – so stop! Sell, sell, sell! Humanity must remember that Self Worth – which’s distinct lack is the origin of the despair-turned-hate in this world… or the catalyst for the creation of religion… take your pick – requires more than 140 characters ending with a self-fulfilling “SAD!”
If I knew any Russian hackers, “Shut Down Twitter” would be the first thing I’d ask of them. One hopes unhappy Twitter employees wear wooden shoes.
… in humble truth… I might give every dollar I have – both of them – if such sacrifice would forever take Twitter and facebook offline; leaving in their wake nothing more than a measly index entry in the history book of Humanity’s far-too-easily-manipulated collective consciousness.
