One thing’s for certain: Democrats are morons when it comes to email.
DNC Chair Resigns Over Emails Proving Her Own Idiocy
The Democratic National Convention hasn’t even started, and the chair of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has been forced to resign due to leaked emails proving the DNC favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the democratic primary election. Way to go, Debbie.
Republicans handed the Democratic Party such a wonderful gift: a total mess of a republican convention. Rather than taking advantage the gloom, doom, and mushroom (clouds) presented by Donald Trump, soap opera actors and a white-haired man who peddles children’s books featuring nuclear bombs – the democrats fell on their face. They tripped over their own egos, rolled down the stairs, out the front door, off the curb (on garbage day), and fell into an open sewer drain. Sadly, this is generally what democrats do when they are left alone for too long. More sadly, this particular trip into the sewer proved everything the Bernie Sanders campaign has been saying for months.
Bernie’s Stock Just Skyrocketed
To Bernie Sanders supporters: don’t freak out. This is good for you, but you’ll lose if you let your self-righteous attitudes control the negotiations.
All the die hard Bernie Sanders voters need to take a breath and think outside of anger for a brief moment about Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s clear bias for Hillary Clinton. Every numbers person I’ve seen talking about this thing has agreed that the DNC’s preference for Hillary wouldn’t have changed the end result. It sucks and it’s unfair, but it’s true. This is a case of someone who should never have been the DNC chair in the first place AND it’s the case that Bernie Sanders has been making about the political establishment – but it would not have changed the fact that Hillary won the primary. You have to accept reality, settle down, and use this to now get more of what you want. In some twisted way it might even be a blessing because it now does give Bernie even more leverage that he would have had if the DNC had stayed perfectly neutral.
I’ve met only a handful of Bernie or Bust supporters, but there are a lot of them out there. Given Americans love to feel jilted (it gives us an excuse to complain and buy guns), one can easily see how after this Democratic Party debacle they will completely turn their backs on Hillary Clinton before she even has a chance to make her case directly to them.
Thanks to the DNC’s email blunder, Bernie Sanders can go back to the table.
Bernie Sanders always had a lot of power in the 2016 election: without his blessing, a large majority of his supporters will NOT vote for Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately for the Democratic Party, now that the DNC’s “hostility” towards Bernie Sanders has been proven by leaked emails (thank you Russia), Bernie will have to offer his supporters much more than a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton for them to suck it up and vote for the establishment. Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC know this.
Bernie Sanders knows this.
Bernie Sanders managed to get his supporters so fired up that they may very well explode into a Trump presidency. That might very well make him the most important person in this election.
So it’s back to the negotiating table, Bernie. We encourage you to get more concessions. Now that your die hard supporters are really pissed, Clinton and the DNC are going to have to give you more if they want those votes.
Bernie or Bust voters won’t hold their nose and vote for Hillary Clinton unless there are some excellent and meaningful changes to the system – changes that would never have had a change to occur had the DNC not been biased and then been caught expressing so. Gotta love politics.
