Favorite Search of the Day: who will win the 2016 election

Ten bucks says that it was Mitt Romney who was Google-ing to see if he still has a chance ;)

Who will with the 2016 election?

We all know who will win the Presidency. (Sorry, Mitt. I’m sure you’re generally a nice guy when you’re not pandering, but you’re nowhere near what it takes to be President – and the Obama campaign hasn’t even needed to point that out much… you, your staff, and your campaign have been blundering and stumbling the entire campaign.)

What worries me, however, are the states and Congress. Thanks to Mitt Romney and Co.s mishaps there are some Senate seats that might turn over to democrats, but the House is still somewhat up for grabs. We’ve all seen what happens in the state houses when Republicans control the government, and it’s not pretty: restrict rights they don’t like, whether it be voting, women’s health, or civil rights they work very, very hard to stop those pesky rights from existing.

Democrats and Independants have seen what happens when a small part of the Republican party controls everything they do. The Elephants allowed a small minority of their party to control everything.

How many anti-abortion bills have passed now? 200? More? I’ve lost track.

Republicans are VERY good at following rules, staying the course, and convincing people to looking into the thousand points of light to distract them while they create laws that are anything but supporting freedom (let alone good Christian morals). I’m afraid that due to the money Republicans will keep the house after the 2012 elections. The Senate will remain Democratic (not that it matters, however, b/c of the unprecedented number of filibusters by Republicans – no matter how much they try to point fingers that “Democrats do it to!” it’s not even close to what the party of no has done since 2008. Filibusters are a sport for Republicans.

Who will win the 2016 election matters for the Presidency for only one reason… but it’s a big one: Health Care. If you are someone who hates Obamacare because it has his name on it. Stop it. Just stop it, do some reading and research about what’s IN Obamacare, because every time people re polled on specifics, the like it. Moreover, I think it’s not enough, America needs single payer like every other Western country in the world. It is the ONLY system that has been proven to keep health costs under control. Privatized health care does not, and will never work for an entire country.

If President Obama wins his reelection, Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act) will survive to actually be fully implemented in 2014. If Romney wins, it will be fully repealed (assuming that If Romney wins the white house, then that also means a successful election season for the house and senate).

If Obama wins in 2012, Republicans will find legislative ways to try to stop funding on various aspects of the ACA, but in general, the benefits will start pouring in…. and the sky will not fall, and finally all of the ill-informed voters will start understanding why the British celebrate the NHS.

So… who wins the Presidential election in 2012 is really important as well. Damn.  It’s all important. Who will win the 2012 election is important from county seats to states, to congress, senate and yes… even that gig as the President. So I’m glad that person searched for it and ended up on POLITUSIC. At least they care… now go vote smart!
