Has The Tea Party Become Political Terrorists?

Tea Party Caucus with masks onIt’s quite a valid question, honestly. Had the members of the Tea Party “caucus” not been elected, would the behavior and actions they have taken be seen as an attack? Can their behavior in US government be defined as political terrorism? “Terror” in that their total lack of… well… anything resembling intelligence or responsibility… and falsely wrapped in the American flag, one must add… is creating constant fear, immobility, and damage.

While the Speaker of the House nervously licks his lips and says bad words at press conferences to distract the press from the depths of his problems, the Tea Party has become political terrorists – elected by a hyper-minority found in small pockets of gerrymandered districts. Well done, Republican Party! In the same way the CIA has failed in various attempts to implant “friendly regimes” in faraway lands where we ought not meddle, the Republican Party, in their effort to always have control of the House by redrawing whacky congressional districts – have implanted very, very unfriendly dictators in Congress. They not only bite the hand that feeds them – they’ll eat their own hands. Political suicide bombers, really. I find it very, very difficult to prove otherwise.

Political Terrorism: Create fear? Check. Force immobility? Check. Inflict damage to the system and its people? Most definitively check (both left and right handed checks for good measure).

Yes, the Tea Party originated with a cause that was nothing new: small government and less spending. Whooo haw! Three cheers for originality, eh? I set my watch by that phrase coming out of politicians. The problem with the Tea Party, however, is they’re idiots. Idiots with a cause and a snake oil cure. These flunkies are like the high school jock who gets elected as president of student council. They have no idea how a government works (let alone a city or county)… and you might as well, abandon hope all yee who entertain the idea that they possess even the slightest understanding how a country needs to function as part of a much larger and very complex world. I’m unconvinced they are not members of the flat earth society, honestly.

The Tea Party has literally turned national politics into a shouting match of “He Started It!” and “I Know You Are But What Am I!?!”

The Tea Party and right-wing extremists actually WANT government to fail. It’s Conservative Chic (it’s the emperor with no clothes). They are doing everything they can to force the US Government into unmanageable chaos so that they can then turn around to the cameras and yawp, “SEE!! I TOLD YOU GOVERNMENT IS TERRIBLE!” The chosen method is worse than insurance fraud in Russia. It’s like Bad Santa, or people who cheat retailers for a living. “Here, y’all – let me steal this TV. Break it. Then return to WalMart demanding a cash refund.” That’s the Tea Party. But instead of terrorizing the poor people who have to work customer service at WalMart, they’re terrorizing the country… and since neither Harry “My good friend” Reid nor John “Where’s the President’s plan” Boehner seem to have a backbone between them… we all have to suffer for it.

Why is it that John Boehner is allowing this to happen? Everyone says is because a lot of the republicans are up for re-election and are terrified of being primaried from the right. That terror they feel – which is the cause for allowing all this to continue – proves the thesis: the Tea Party are political terrorists. Even the Speaker of the House is terrified into inaction. All he can do is nervously lick his lips and say bad words to try and project blame onto someone else. “Hey! Look at this shiny word that rhymes with glass that will keep the newsies busy for awhile!” Speaker of the House of the US House of Representatives, everyone… makes you proud to be an A-mur-i-can, don’t it?

The US Government’s stance on terrorism: we do not negotiate with terrorists.

I’m wondering why that policy position should be any different with the Tea Party terrorists. Just because this particular batch if nitwits with low IQs and an unsettling drive to feel self-important were elected – that doesn’t  mean that as a county we have to negotiate with them. I’m not saying they’re not legitimate representatives of the pockets of chaos they represent… but I am saying America shouldn’t negotiate with political terrorists. Just throw them on a meaningless committee (is there any other kind?) and let them entertain themselves for awhile. There’s a day care center on the Hill, right?

Here’s a little hint, John, Nancy, Harry and Turtle Man: these wackos are in the hyper-minority. Thanks to Harry’s backbone-less lack-move in fixing the filibuster that has an impact in the Senate, but in the House (where all the gerrymandering will keep these twits there for awhile – at least until those areas age out of it), majority opinion (you know, “democracy”) can still rule… you don’t have to negotiate with them.

Oh, and Mr. Speaker: If people like that guy, John Boehner, are so afraid of being primaried that they allow a teeny, tiny, minority to rule the policy of an entire nation… then people like that don’t belong in politics anymore. Your time is done. You, sir, are no longer a leader of anything.

The President, however, is getting an awful lot of flack for not spending his time (translation, totally wasting his time) trying to negotiate with the House to get all these self-imposed crises solved…. but Obama is doing exactly what is the policy of the US Government: we do not negotiate with terrorists…

…and that’s all the Tea Party is: political terrorists who clearly have not been overburden by education, empathy, and… I’m just guessing here… there’s not a Reggae, Funk, or Soul record to be found among the lot of them.
