Favorite Search: do republicans ever get tired of being called names by Obama

George W. Bush holding crying baby
I never thought I’d say this, but I really miss the George W. Bush type of republican. They were war-mongers who lied for oil and wealth, but at least they weren’t certifiable and totally divorces from reality.

This search phrase wins a “best” award on POLITUSIC for its total lack of perspective and inability to accept reality.

Ironically, POLITUSIC.com  gets a decent amount of traffic from these “reinforce-my-hate web searches” by people searching for, “do republicans ever get tired of being called names by Obama”, and “Obama calls conservatives, republicans, and Christians names.”

Obama calling republicans names?! Seriously?

Before we can address this growing oddity of American idiocy, one is forced to ask on what planet such people live? One on which their information bubble creates a dyslexic reality and allows them to refuse to accept basic facts if they don’t fit their worldview. The republican “news” bubble which has detached about 30% of this country and put them into a North Korea style mentality of hate towards anything that doesn’t fit their narrow-minded existence founded almost entirely on fear and disgust of Other.

Never mind that the twice-elected President of the United States of America has dealt with some of the most racist, hate-filled attacks in history spewed from the hate-saturated far right, but a lot of Tea Party and republican fundraising whack-jobs still call him a socialist Muslim Kenyan on a regular basis. Dig deeper into the extreme right wing blogosphere (which all Americans should do so they are more away of what actually happens in pockets of this country) and the names these people call President Obama get very, very ugly.

Obama calling conservatives and republicans names? Give us a break and come back to reality. As is usually the case with the republican information bubble: the Truth is the exact opposite of what they are being told from their imprisoning right wing marketing machine, and then they use ignorantly go online and type self-fulfilling search phrases in order to find a whack-job blog that supports their entrenched biases.

Obama doesn’t call people names. That’s not his style. Junior high kids – and Donald Trump – call people names. There are many democrats who do speak truth to the cameras and call the far right members of Congress things like “crazy birds” – Ted Cruz even calls himself that – so one doubts if his wee little heart hurts much from name calling. Guys like Ted Cruz and Donald Trump love that – it gives them something to keep their voter base angry and blaming everyone but themselves for their own ills. I believe the most Obama has ever done insofar calling House republicans names are tags like irresponsible and not logical. He doesn’t reach the preschool playground level of politics and actually call other politicians names – only the Tea Party and rabid republican base do that.

Behind closed doors does Obama call republicans names? While I have never had a beer summit with the President, I would say it’s safe to assume that after 5 years of the crap, the total disrespect, and down-right stupidity that has been thrown at him by republicans… yes, I bet he does call select groups “names”. Maybe not names or say they have cooties, so much as employ lots of adjectives describing how he (and much of this country) view their character, their motivations, and their detachment from reality. There’s a reason that since 2010 two words have been found together more and more in politics (seriously, it’s truth): “crazy” and “republicans” are very common bedfellows now. (We should also note the significant uptick in searches by people living overseas for “americans are idiots”.)

Do republicans get tired of being called names by Obama? Honesty, other than the far right’s belief that the end of the world is just around the corner, this might be the most absurd we’ve seen thus far. (The far right still has a very difficult time making a distinction between “the” world, and “my” world. There’s something in their upbringing that results on a belief that all that exists is theirs to possess as solely their own. They understand don’t understand human rights, they only understand “my” rights. It’s very, very strange.)

Are republicans tired of being called names in general? Nah. Being called names is one of the best fundraising tactics for the far right. Like many people, they believe that if they are in trouble or being yelled at, then that means they must be doing something right. The problem, however, is that such a statement is not truth for all possible names a person can be called or labeled. “Crazy” for instance… that’s not a label that should be worn with pride. Nor are words like hateful, spiteful, bitter, out of control, ignorant, or greedy words that republicans should like having on their resumes.

The mere fact that someone out there is asking of republicans are tired of being called names by Obama rather than the other way around proves the crazy label. The best I can do is give leeway, once again, to the republican information bubble. If a person is taught only one thing, then they know only one thing, and can’t fully be blamed for their opinion: they don’t know any better.

Just like kids in North Korea are taught every morning at school that American children want to kill them all, and therefore they should hate all Americans, so too are republicans in the deep red south taught only one thing about politics: that the President is a “non-American” who is an illegitimate president and wants to destroy America. That everything he does is wrong. Obama could lasso the moon, and single-handedly stop all terrorism in the world, and create 300 million new jobs that all pay six figure salaries – and the far right would still hate him with all their hearts. Because they are trapped in a place that teaches one thing for the last 5 years: hate Obama… so much so the reality literally gets inverted and people search for republicans with hurt feelings because Obama is calling them names. Amazing.
